Common Audi Issues We Fix
Audis are precision-built, but certain platforms and engines develop predictable issues as they age. Here’s what we see most often.
-
1
Carbon Buildup & Timing Chain Issues (2.0T / 3.0T)
Direct-injection 2.0T and 3.0T engines accumulate intake valve carbon — we walnut-blast clean it. Earlier 2.0T variants also see timing chain tensioner wear that needs proactive attention.
-
2
DSG / S-tronic Service Neglect
DSG dual-clutch gearboxes need fluid and filter service every ~40,000 mi — skipping it causes harsh shifts, mechatronic failures, and very expensive repairs.
-
3
Oil Consumption & PCV Failures
Certain 2.0T (EA888 Gen 1/2) and 4.2 V8 engines are known for oil consumption — often tied to PCV valve failures and worn piston rings, which we diagnose and repair.
-
4
Water Pump, Thermostat & Coolant Leaks
Plastic water pump housings, thermostats, and coolant flange leaks are common across the Audi lineup — proactive replacement prevents overheating and head damage.

Common Questions
Common questions we hear from Audi owners.
Will independent service void my Audi warranty?
No. The federal Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act protects your right to use an independent shop without voiding your factory warranty, as long as the work is done to manufacturer specifications using approved parts and fluids. We follow Audi specifications and document every service, so your warranty coverage stays intact.
Do you use OEM Audi parts?
Yes. We use OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) and OE-quality parts to maintain the build quality your Audi was designed for. For some repairs we'll offer upgraded alternatives — such as performance brakes or longer-life components — but the default is always OEM unless you ask otherwise.
How do I schedule an appointment?
